Kitchen Mission!

Mkay so - Jay's been working like a mad man and we finally have the cabinets in. WE have a couple cabinets we still need to purchase, but that's all in good time. We are getting closer and closer to the finish line on this kitchen, I can't wait to see it finished.

All this progress, and yet he still found the time to build my mom her Christmas present!

Finished Project!

We've finished the bedroom, mostly.. All it lacks is the decor pieces and window treatments and it is soon to have a walk-in closet. Purdy fancy talk for one of the guest rooms, eh? =D

Jay is still busy at work on the kitchen though, so we'll have more updates soon! =)

Kitchen Killers!

SO - We've moved on with our renovation. We've progressed to totally destroying our kitchen. AS USUAL, there's a total WRECK behind the walls. We knew there was a couple problems, but once we got all the drywall down, we got to see just how much of an issue there was.

An inch and a quarter of gap. The entire wall slopes, and that means we get to level the floor before we can lay tile, so we're going to start from the top and work down. Here's some pictures of those DISGUSTING cabinets going where they belong. (OUT THE DOOR! haha)

Some More Work

Back on Track!

Sorry to everyone who's been following, but we were without internet and I hadn't been able to keep everyone updated.

Here's some pictures of what's been going on.

The wood floors going in. You can see the closet we added, which is the white wall in the middle of the picture. This is going to be our laundry room. You can also see that HORRIBLE paint is gone for the most part, and a great brown has taken its place. We're doing a few touchup's with the paint, but we're making some huge progress!

I'm in the process of transfering pictures from my phone to my computer, and I'll have more pictures ASAP.

Falling Behind!

I'm sorry I've been neglecting my duties on keeping the blog updated, but I've been pretty tired by the time we get home from working on the house. SO, in exchange for my slacking, I will give you all a mass update! =)

The bedroom:

We've now completely finished the wood floors, we've installed the door, and the door knobs.

Today I started painting, and we should be completely DONE with this room within the next couple days.

The bathroom:

The shower is completely finished, including all of the plumbing. We've installed the vanity, the sink, the lights and the mirrors. Jay installed the toilet today, and with a few touch-ups on the paint, this room will be completely done in a day, or two at the most.

More Progress!

Yesterday, we started laying the wood floors. We're waiting on all the sheet rock patches to dry, so we're skipping ahead a couple steps so that we can keep moving forward.
